The Project Team

Our project group are all Commerce BCom Honours Students at the University of the Western Cape. 

We are all highly spirited hard working individuals with the objective to successfully complete this project of providing the learners of Kayamandi Primary School with the opportunities we had. 

Our objectives are create a culture of reading in primary learners, increasing literacy levels, improving learners educational performance thru exposure to reading and writing as well as envisioning the learners to achieve studies at a tertiary institution and the ability to be the future leaders of our county. 

The Project group comprises of the following exceptional individuals below:

Amanda Taho

Amanda is our chairlady and project team manager. Its her duties are to provide leadership innovation and drive champion (basically she is our team cheerleader). She takes responsibility for communication to our course coordinator Mr Percy Saungweme as well as coordination of the entire project.








 

Zintle Mdoda



Zintle is our mistress of finance - the treasurer -  it is her duty to ensure that the limited financial resources we work with is managed curiously and with care. She is also the warehouse as its her responsibility to acquire storage facilities during the project.

Aneesa Fakee (picture to be added shortly) - is our group member responsible with for the sourcing of books from mainly corporate donors and publishers. She is also responsible for sourcing a bookcase or shelve - this will be the storage facility used in the classroom at the end of the project when the books in its totality are donated to Kayamandi Primary School. She is fierce and goal orientated making sure that all relevant issue are properly communicated and checked.

Abdul-Qadir Chilwan (picture to be added shortly) - is the muscle of the group; our only male - he is another group member responsible for the sourcing of books. He also share the responsibility of sourcing the bookcase or shelve and all other adhoc duties. Abdul is the voice of reason in the group silently and effectively assisting Amanda to refocus the group when needed.



Shauna Windvogel



Shauna is the secretary of the group responsible for all meetings and schedules to adhered to. She is also the marketing / advertising administrator ensuring that all communication public via the blog, facebook and twitter are managed effectively.
